Advanced Apprenticeship

The Advanced Apprenticeship framework comprises of the following:

• Employment Rights and Responsibilities
• Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Hairdressing
• Key Skills: Application of Number Level 2 and Communication Level 2

The Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Hairdressing is a 9 unit award, 4 Mandatory units with 5 Optional units. Additional units may be achieved within the allotted training entitlement.

Mandatory Units

• G22 Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
• G18 Promote additional services or products to customers
• G22 Provide hairdressing consultation services
• GH16 Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques

Optional Units

• GH17 Colour hair using a variety of techniques
• GH18 Provide colour correction services
• GH19 Creatively style and dress hair
• GH20 Creatively dress long hair
• GH22 Create a variety of permed effects
• G11 Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business
